1. Access & Subscription Issues

• 1.1 How do I gain access to the members area or subscribe to the mailing list?
• 1.2 How do I unsubscribe?
• 1.3 How do I change my membership configuration?

• 1.6 I can't access the web archive or search forms.
• 1.7 I'd like to access the web archive without receiving list email.

1. Access & Subscription Issues

1.1 How do I gain access to the members area or subscribe to the mailing list?

Go to the GHC Family announcement list info page and follow the instructions under Subscribing to Family . If you are a regular participant at GHC, you will be subscribed by the list administrator and given access to the members area.

1.2 How do I unsubscribe?

Go to the GHC Family announcement list info page and enter your email address under Family Subscribers.

If you are already logged in to the info page, you will be taken to a screen where you can immediately click an "Unsubscribe" button after checking the confirmation box. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted for a password. If you don't know your password, you can either click to have your password emailed to you or have a confirmation email sent to your subscribed address, to which you must reply.

1.3 How do I change my membership configuration?

Go to the GHC Family announcement list info page and enter your email address under Family Subscribers.

If you are already logged in, you will be taken to your membership configuration page. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted for a password. If you don't know your password, you can click to have your password emailed to you. Enter your password to be take to your membership configuration page.

1.4 How do I change my address?

Go to your membership configuration page. Under "Changing your family membership information", fill in the old and new addresses, and submit. You will have to confirm the change by email at your new address.

1.5 What is my password?

Go to the GHC Family announcement list info page and enter your subscribed email address under Family Subscribers.

On the resulting page, click the "Email My Password To Me" button.

1.6 I can't access parts of the members area.

Only subscribers with passwords may access the members area. See the instructions if you have forgotten your password. If you have a password:
• Make sure you are entering your email address as the userid and the mailing list password as the password.
• Make sure you are using all lowercase for the email address.
• Make sure you are using the exact case for the password.
• Make sure there are no extraneous spaces or other characters.
• Be sure to wait at least five minutes after the initial subscription notice was sent from the list manager.
